Firstly if i have posted this in the wrong forum Mods please feel free to move.

Secondly no i don't have spare vouchers :)

Going by the old adage if you don't ask you don't get ! Does anyone have 2 AMEX PE Upgrade vouchers that they don't need or won't use before they expire? If so would be happy to take them off your hands :)

I know it's a long shot but have used mine and if possible I am looking to surprise a couple flying with us in Y on reward seats in the future, who have never flown outside of Y.

Fingers crossed and here's hoping !

I'm not 100% sure they are. I cant quite work out how it would work, surely the person who had the vouchers would have to call FC, be able to make changes on the other pax booking for it to be allowed. Even then, I have feeling that you would have to use miles for the original booking from the same account that has the voucher on it.

It will be interesting to see if the OP actually manages to do this, and how.

I would be interested if this was possible too. I always assumed that the points would have to come out of the Cardmembers Flying Club account.

The T&C don't mention the award being transferable, and make frequent reference to the cardmember and the cardmember's FC account. ?|

I would suggest extreme caution is used here - make sure with a named person at the Flying Club that this is legal. If they suspect that something dodgy is going on, they may start suspending accounts. v(

Ladies & Gents

thank you for your replies and concerns.

before i posted i did speak with FC and asked "if person A could change person B's reward booking by using a PE upgrade voucher to upgrade person A even though person B was not travelling"

the answer was yes subject to the person being an authorised user of the other persons account.

i have done this recently, i flew to NYC and the in-laws followed a few days later, they had booked reward seats in Y and then PE became available. i rang and upgraded their seats to PE using my vouchers, so it was a surprise when they boarded the plane.

and yes i always take the name and extension of the agents ! just in case. :)

of course i may have just been lucky on that occasion but they did it and we all flew with no problems.

It's a T to U upgrade, i.e. an economy miles reward. The vouchers cannot be used with a revenue fare.

As per the details in the fare codes section here, there does not have to be actual availability in T, just U
