Right,

It's nearly time for our annual Vegas 'Tour' and we've upgraded our SFO - LAS Virgin America flight to First class (why we ever booked in economy is beyond me.. ;) )

So the big question is, flying into SFO on the VS19 in upper and out on VX First class I would expect to be able to get into the clubhouse.. Technically we should pay but does anyone have any experience of this being waived? We've only time for a sandwich and a drink anyway so don’t see the point in paying to get in (and neither should we given the money we'll be sending Virgin's way that day)

I’ve had experience of Gatwick waiving charges in similar circumstances but never tried it at SFO – any thoughts would be great??

Flying out of LHR in UC will give you access to the CH there; as you are flying Virgin America my understanding is that you will have to pay to access the SFO CH; this is certainly what I have seen whilst in there.

You do indeed have to pay for entering the CH when flying on a VX First Class fare.

I saw a couple of VX First pax been turned away from the SFO CH whilst I was there because they wouldn't pay.

It seems there's no exception to this rule irrespective of any VS or other status.

If you wish to continue binging after the 19, there are more fun bars in the terminal than the clubhouse ... albeit that you'll pay of course ...

Just don't get denied boardding from your SFO-LAS due to intoxication !
