Hello!!

Just changed my K to Z on VS045 and would like your thoughts on best seats please!

It's just my partner and I travelling and we've currently got 3A and 4A upstairs.

Any thoughts on best seats? It's pretty much wide open at the moment. I know I don't want to be too close to the bar.

The seating maps all seem to suggest its UC and Y upstairs BUT the lady in FC said it was UC and PE upstairs - bit confused.

Want it to be nice and quiet but want to visit the bar too.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Luke

It's definitely UC and Economy upstairs - all the LHR 744's are configured like that.

Thanks Tinkerbelle. I thought this was the case and queried with the FC lady but she was insistent.

I flew SFO->LHR and sat in 5A, on the return flight I sat in 12A. I would recommend a seat downstairs, when sitting upstairs you have to wait for the economy passengers to disembark before you can get off the plane at your destination. Also it was slightly more difficult to make your way down to the bar as there were people moving about the economy cabin section.
Just my two cents.

Go for the nose, more space, less footfall, off quicker ...

Another vote for the nose y)

Again, a vote for the nose, especially for a return night flight, much quieter and just generally a nicer environment IMO.

Thanks.

So I've got rows 15-19 A & K available in the nose.

As a couple do you prefer travelling on the same side i.e. both in A or is an A & K better?

Unless you can get 12A&K then side by side is much better, the gap between the A&K sides is large in the A zone so you wouldn't be able to talk without getting up and going to their suite.

Depends if you want to talk to your partner or not !

And having sat as a (solo traveller) I agree - a seat in the A-zone/nose section much quieter and nicer cabin and more airy than the other zones

Thanks Tonty, I think the "talking to partner" is never optional so booked 14 & 15 A
