Anyone know the rules for using partner airlines lounges as a FC Gold member? E.g. can I use Virgin America, US airways, Continental lounges regardless of class of travel if I'm flying with them? Probably a long shot but had to ask!

Or can I just use the VAtlantic Lounge even if not flying VAtlantic? Having to do some internal US flights soon.....

Cheers,

P

Sorry, but Au "Partner" Status is only useful when flying with Singapore, VAustralia and VBlue.

Your answer may lay in a Priority Pass - but these days, quite a few Lounges in the US havs resorted to charging for drinks etc

Cheers buns. Even on Virgin America? Seems odd..... I suppose I have to be travelling VS to use their lounge too? Humph, oh well, it'll be a new experience! Although looking at some of the partner airlines sites, it seems even if you are a top member of their schemes you have to pay a little extra each time you use them. The cheek!

Whilst it is true that top tier fliers on other airlines get more perk than VS golds - BA for example. If you look at how much flying you have to do to attain / retain these level compared to VS gold, it is hardly surprising. 8D

Virgin America use VS Clubhouses in SFO, JFK and IAD only. First Class and Main Cabin Select and in the case of SFO and JFK only, Elevate members can purchase entry to them and there are several restrictions

Also you can only pay to enter the SFO CH when flying VX for flights after 12:30 as the CH is not open until then.

Not sure about times for other VX/VS shared Clubhouses though.
