Hi guys

First time poster, enjoy the site a lot. Just a quick question i can not seem to find the answer anywhere on the net, when is the Vegas route from Gatwick going to get a refurbed plane, is PE still the old cloth seats ? Planning Vegas in April. Deciding which airline , BA or VA.

Many thanks!

Welcome,

The LGW/MAN fleet are due to start their refurb later this year, but no official date or time line has been given. Currently it is the older cloth PE seats in the bubble on the Vegas flights.

Hi Neil - since you have the expert knowledge :), can you answer the same question for the Orlando flights. I'm in the all PE bubble in March - its a 744 config 1. Does that have the old cloth seats too?

I have become accustomed to the nice purple leather ones on the JFK and SFO routes.

Many thanks

Hi Martin,

Yes, you will have the old cloth seats in the bubble on your MCO flight. There is a chance that it will change from config 1 to 2, as both operate the MCO flights daily, but that the only change that would give you is the IFE.

TBH - the seats in the bubble, whilst showing their age are comfy and being in the bubble is great.

Thanks,
Neil
