I found the servisair lounge at LGW to be one of the better ones, ample seating and lots of drinks, food etc there.

Could well have been timings though!

Isn't the number 1 lounge the lounge featured in "Come fly with me" with Moses ? I think I have seen a logo on the door to that effect.

well i chose the number 1 and am currently ensconced awaiting the call for the flight to take me home. it is very pleasant, comfy seats, good wifi, friendly greeting at the desk, slightly slow service but decent cappucino and a nice oat and raisin cookie (so far).

only down side -one screaming kid (cant parents restrain them?) and a foreign guy having a converstaion via his laptop with headfones BUT obvioulsy wants the whole lounge to hear him jabbering on :-(

Yes, there are TWO Number 1 lounges at Stanstead.

Both are really nice places - definitely a good second to Virgin lounges. They cook food to order - wonderful risotto!

And the 'house' Scotch is Johnnie Walker Black label
(No, I don't work for Number 1 lounges...)

Sorry to do a bit of thread hijacking here but here goes! :P

The Servisair Linfield (sp?) lounge at LGW South (I believe it's called); what is it like? Just wondering for our trip there next month what kind of food to expect or if it will just be the standard packet snacks available?

I found it quite nice, comfortable seating, nice toilets and tv etc to relax. Food is basic and help your self. Mainly croissants (albeit wrapped in plastic), muffins, biscuits, fruit and crisps. Full tea making facilities and drinks etc.
