Hi all. Firstly we had a great trip to new York and thanks for all advice we gained. Now to the miles. Have checked our balances on virgin site. I have a total of 1729. And my wife has 6052. Same flight same upgrade to PE same everything bar points awarded. Anybody know why or how it works.

Did you upgrade to PE with miles? If so there's a glitch with the VS system and you'll either need to call or request missing miles online.

Sorry miles lol. No it was paid on card at departure gate. They didn't ask for flying club details. I just paid on my card. Not even the wifes card

Also when I booked it said I would get 3500 odd miles. Is that split between both passengers? Checked the breakdown it says nothing but return flight in mine

Sounds like something isn't quite right. The miles quoted at booking are per passenger. You might want to call flying club and check.

You can claim the missing miles from your outbound flight using the FC page on the VS website.

Glad you had a good time!

NB, before you unpack too much, keep hold of those boarding stubs...you may need them for a missing miles claim.
Although being on a straight forward VS flight it should hopefully not be an issue..

Sounds like a balls up on the Oracle system we use to credit miles - IME it's unfit for purpose, being a hotch-potch of older systems running in tandem with one another. Operated fine when FC was Freeway....but now, with the complexity of redemption codes and upgrade options it tends to struggle a bit!

My advice?...give VS a ring, but ask to go through to the prem team, since if you get through to what remains of WNS then you'll be tearing your hair out in 30 seconds flat :p

It'll be simple to sort out :)

The missing miles can be claimed online Luke, assuming it was a simple booking; once you start throwing in Upgrades, or anything remotely complex, it'll just say to ring VS.
