When reading TR's and people write about the A section in UC on the 747 - do they mean downstairs at the front?

All of my flights so far in UC have been on the airbus' - end of Feb coming back to NYC on a 747. Not bothered if I'm upstairs or down - just like the peace - so what would people recommend?

Yes, the A zone is the front cabin in the nose of the 747's. A favourite of a lot of v-Flyers, it's quiet and spacious.

The "A" zone right at the front of Upper Class in the nose of the aircraft is very popular.

The cabin is quite spacious and very private.

On a limited 1:1 comparison I much preferred the 747. Though a touch noisier than the Airbus, the feeling of space and privacy made it special.

There was a debate on the pros and cons of each aircraft a while back.

The noise doesn't bother me too much as due to my job I have an amazing pair of personally moulded IEM's which cut out most of the ambient noise - and as they're in-ear I can sleep in them too!

The A-Zone is IMO the best place to be on a 747, the other section downstairs feel a bit cramped with 4 seats across, and upstairs has apparently become a bit or a problem with noise, due to the 30 odd Econ seats.

You will find the seat feels a bit bigger compared to the airbus seat.

Another y) y) for the A-zone and if you can into the A-zone then get into it.

As others have said it feels much more spacious and private as no through traffic to the galley or the toilets.

Which is all the more reason to avoid it if you happen to find yourself on the Party Bus :w
