Slightly pathetic question: where do the CC sit in the Bubble during takeoff/landing please? Are they facing backwards halfway down the cabin, near the exit? The reason I ask is that I'm flying PE on VS015 next week & have yet to select seats (none left to preselect), and have been a fearful flyer (I went on VS's Flying Without Fear course in January and it really helped, so fingers crossed I'll not be too bad). I find it very reassuring watching how calm CC are during takeoff, which is the worst bit for me, so would like to be able to sit where I can see them if possible.

If anyone also knows where they are in the downstairs 747 PE cabin in case I end up there I'd also be grateful.

Thanks in advance!

Please let us know how you go on after the flight. I have a friend who is considering the Flying Without Fear course. I have heard very good things about its success rate, but it is always nice to hear first hand accounts. y)

My friend is one of the crew who do the flying without fear course and can definitely recommend it. It is very popular and very rewarding to see so many people overcome their fears.

Did you do the flight from Luton by any chance?

I've heard a lot of good things from a lot of people who shine about the course, good to see that an airline has an option to overcome this fear as it doesn't seem like a regular pratice. 8D Any idea on the price of these courses? (Without wanting to sound rude! :#)

Hi Suzanneme :)

What date are you flying next week?

Maybe I've missed it, but I can't find your flight on the itinerary.

If you want to PM me that's fine. We're going out on Thursday's VS015 y) :D

If you don't get back to me, have a great flight ;)

If she had put it in the Itinerary forum not only would it have appeared in the Itinerary calendar but it would also show when you placed your mouse over the little plane thingy under her name

What plane do they use on the flight for this course?

I did do the flight from Luton, I thought the course was very good, and my table was looked after by a member of VS CC who I sat next to on the flight, and he was wonderful. I will of course let you know how I go - I will write a TR both ways! And it was indeed £199. You do get a nice booklet and CD to take home too. So far I'm feeling great at the prospect of the flight and looking forward to it, which hasn't happened in years, so I think the course definitely helped.

R-P, I am also on Thursday's VS015: I'll be the harassed one trying to keep two children amused for 8 hours in PE. I haven't worked out how to do the itinerary thing yet, but I'm back on VS028 on the 28th, also in PE.

I'm not sure exactly what plane model it was they used on the course, btw, but it was a Monarch plane, and definitely an Airbus. It was a small kind of Airbus with three seats either side of a central aisle. There were 130 on my course, and with all the staff too there weren't many spare seats.

They have a policy on the courses of only using jet engine planes too, as quite a few fearful flyers refuse to go near prop planes!

Go into the forum called Itineraries and then click on the Post a New Topic button. You will get a page with a number of boxes asking for the Flight number; the route from and to (i.e LGW and MCO in your case); the date to be filled in from a drop-down menu and finally you class of travel.

Once you have filled this in and any message that you wish to add, you will find that it will appear in the itinerary calendar and also if you hover your mouse over the little plane in the box under your username then it will also show details of your flights

Dearest Buns.............Please do not divulge anything further as I wish Suzanneme to think I'm not always teetering down the jetway as I was after the Delta Crown lounge at MCO :D

We'll see who can post their TR first!! |:)
