Due to no longer being 'between jobs', and a holiday to Vegas to now look forward to, I'm catching up on all things VS...

I'm meeting some friends in Vegas, and as they're teachers we're talking peak summer (w/c August 15th) and would like to seek some opinions.

My question is - should I book up now and just swallow hard at £800+ for an X Economy ticket as the price is likely to only go one way OR hold on for a bit and not to rush in?

Any thoughts or theories are greatly appreciated.

whats your level of 'risk' as essentially you are playing a game of 'what ifs'

If you need to be organised and know you have a ticket on X flight on Y dates then book now.

If you are are more willing to take a chance then hold on but take the possibility that prices will rise but not get lower or then even the flight you want gets fully sold.

Trevelling in the peak summer holidays means full planes and so less bargains.

I have often found myself in a similar predicament!

The way I look at it is, if you're ok with the price and your dates are fixed, go for it!!

Too many times I've held on and lost out or paid more!

If I were you I would book now.

Thats my 2 cents anyway!

I'd say book now. However, before you do, if you're currently planning on flying direct have a look at the options and costs of flying into Los Angeles and then taking an internal flight to Las Vegas.

Hi. A friend of mine secured 5 seats VS Gatwick to Las Vegas for April 2011 (covering Easter peak period).
I encouraged her to book it last August and they locked-in at £520 per person. The same flight has been £885 since before christmas. So I'd say best to book asap.
Also the LAS fares always reduce significantly after August 22nd but that might not give you the time-scale you want.

Thanks all for your input. I know I'm going to the gambling capital of the world, but I think I'll keep my gambling for when I get there and book sooner rather than later.
