The second Gatwick flight that ran for a year or so before 9/11 was scheduled around these later times. It was actually doubly convenient as it also allowed good connections into BA flights leaving from LGW without having to deal with the bus transfer nonsense (even if that was free at the time with BA). But yes, for the typical LHR flight the times have been as you state since at least 1997. Mostly in winter too, save for the last few years when we've seen the occasional couple of hours shift to an earlier time (which, OTOH, I absolutely hated).

I remember that LGW flight - and I do wish VS would do a second flight to SFO with later hours out and back - that would be so much better for work!

I often wonder why VS doesn't double or triple up on routes where all the infrastructure is in place. But they must have their reasons.

There shouldn't be a problem. All you have to do is turn left when you exit the secure area and head up the escalator to the VX check-in.

Virgin America is due at some stage to move to Terminal 2 but even so transfer in SFO is very easy. Just follow the signs for Transfer and it takes very little time.

Got the reply back

, From time to time our flight schedules will change, obviously we try and avoid this as much as possible, but sometimes its unavoidable and I'm sorry if it's affected your trips with us. That said, I'm not aware of the Revivals lounge staying open any later than normal any time in the future. Sorry. Greg

Flying over next week, so no effect on me thank goodness. In future connecting through to Johannesburg will mean a shorter layover with no chance to see family in England, but this time we electyed to spend a night in London on the way back, prescient!

You'd be able to stretch your legs and take a comfortable stroll over to T2 in 20 mins tops. The revised time puts you in later than the hordes (possibly only BA to contend with), which should speed your journey through immigration. Historically you would have been in just at the back end of KLM, AF, BA (a bit earlier) and IIRC a couple of asian flights, too. 2 hours should be ample either way.

Nottingham Nick wrote:My May flights to BOS have also changed - outbound is 5 mins later and return is 5 mins earlier - so no great dramas. ): :w

Nick

Checked mine as well - leaves 5 mins later for both but also shows a change in equipment from A343 out and A346 back to 747config4 both ways. :D
Love those Jumbos and should be no Odyssey either way now. :D :D

So all I have to do is change my seats 23A out and 16A back or will I go upstairs to snooze home. Decisions, decisions, decisions

NOOOOOOOOO! The revivals lounge is part of the Upper Class package that I paid for. :(! Still 38 days before I depart. Perhaps they will fix it before then or some public shaming Twitter. ):
