Brilliant, I just needed a sale!

Come on VS!

Thanks for posting. I see BA is advertising Club to New York plus three nights a the Parker Meridien, a really nice hotel, for £1,949 which is an excellent price!

We booked for £1,049 in Sept 09 with Virgin so I agree not much of a sale even with the increase in fuel and duty.

On the plus side it looks like BA are using a 747 to Vegas from June onwards, which given they fly from Heathrow may give them the edge over VS.

Indeed, in January 2010 I flew to JFK for £1,400 and Jan 2009 it was £1,108.30 !!!

The days of those sale fares are sadly gone I think ...

I'm doing CPH-LCY-JFK soon for £1200, which is a bargain. It may be a bit more hassle, but in my opinion it's worth it.

Are there any Ex-EU bargains with VS?

Yes there are but it generaly involves a BA flight from the european airport into LGW/LHR (as approriate).

There is a long thread about it but I can't remember what it is called.

Apparently it only works for the Business cabin (so UC) but not the others and you can't mix and match i.e. say fly Y from CPH to LCY then J from LCY to JFK

Oh, I know there's a thread, but not seen any comments from anyone that's done it recently, that's all.

Could you book in Y (or W) and then MFU to J for the TATL leg?

You need to find the thread because that's a bizarre question and the short answer is no. Cash only.
