Afternoon,

I've recently received my VA Amex card and I can't seem to find a section online where I can input my flying club number. I entered this on sign up but I just wanted to double check the accounts were linked before making my first purchase to receive the bonus 6,000.

Thanks,

Mike

I don't think the MBNA Virgin Amex site is linked to your VS account.

The transfer of miles into your account is now very fast - almost as soon as the statement is issued.

I have just had a look at my paper statements, my FC number isn't shown on them either - they simply say the number of standard and bonus points I have accrued and how many have been transferred into my FC account.

The only way I can think of to ensure they are linked correctly would be to ring.

if you have done this then your account should be linked.

Thanks both - I'll stop worrying and just go ahead and start spending!

Agree with others. The crucial bit is that you've provided it at sign up - although giving MBNA a call to confirm may not do any harm.

edited by mod Neil to change AmEx to MBNA as they issue the card and look after the CS

I wouldn't worry too much - even if they don't have your FC number, the miles will just pool in the Amex account and then get transferred when you provide them with the FC number.

That's what happened when I applied for the bmi card, also with MBNA. As I applied by phone they didn't take my DC number. I emailed it to them after the first bill had been produced, so the miles from the second month spend as well as the bonus and first month spend were credited all together.
