VS were offering a great deal on a PE to UC upgrade today so having got the appropriate financial sign off from 'im indoors, am now really looking forward to our trip to MCO (VS27) in April and our first experience of flying "up front" :D

Have bagged 9A and 9K - these were as far front as we could get. Having read some of the previous posts on this topic, these seemed like the best option but happy to be persuaded otherwise by those in the know.

I don't think I am going to be able to sleep for the next 40 nights - just too excited :D :D

Result, well done y) y)

There seem to bee several flights being swapped from the new A330 to the old 747 - was yours one of them?

I would hope there will be some good prices, if UC seats are suddenly available on these flights.

Ah! Good point, Neil. 8D

My original observation about still stands though.

On the former A330 flights that have been changed - lots of comments on the Dibb about these - there should be some UC bargains to be had to make up for the disappointment of not getting the shiny new plane and the super IFE. ;)

Nice one Mrs Bear. IMHO Virgin UC is fab, I took my first UC flight last year to Cuba and I was well impressed. always previously flowed BA Club World, but Virgin impressed me and I'm a convert from the dark side. Looking 4ward to my UC trip to NYC in May.

I'm sure you will enjoy the experience

I hope you have a great experience. I took up a similar PE to UC offer for my UC flight and haven't been back there since - thanks to sale fares, miles upgrade and my very good friends at vflyer who never miss a chance to earn a mile or two and are happy to share the knowledge.

I recall my first Virgin UC flight ... I was booked in PE on LHR-SFO in September 1999. Travelling with a colleague, I arrived at T3 earlier than she, to check in, when VS used to use the RHS of T3 departures under the low roofs ...

And ...

Lo and behold we were both upgraded! That was incredible, we were on the upper deck of a 747-200 in old old cloth big seats, absolutely incredible - but you can't expect the same because there's no way further to go than UC otherwise you're on the outside of the plane :o) .

It was a superb flight. I hope your's is too.

I'm in UC, for the first time, in 8 days time!!!

By the time you fly, I will have completed my rtn flgiths to LAX, booked 10 months ago and much anticipated, and will have posted my TRs -- you, on the other hand, will still have yours to look forward to!!!!

Like being a kid again, isn't it:-)

I love reading of other V-Flyers excitement & anticipation. :D

We used the LGW CH a month ago when flying to MCO UC & I was just as excited as you. The thrill of flying never diminishes, especially when CH visits & flights, no matter what class of travel live up to expectations. This usually means on the ball CCMs who are friendly, professional & happy to pass the time of day with a sentence or 2.

And this accounts for 99.9% of CCMs y) y)

Hope both of you have brilly willy flights & holidays :)

Not all holiday for us this time - I shall be working for the first few days as it our end of year time and I couldn't get the time off but the boss did agree that i could work from home - just a different home :)

I am sure there will be the usual jobs to do around the villa - normal stuff as a home owner out there but it never seems so bad when the sun is shining and you know you are going to see Mickey the next day 8D

Will certainly report back on the flight - another first, my first TR too.

Have a great weekend all.
