BAA told to sell off Stansted and either GLA or EDI

Probably early days but how has the sell off of LGW worked out?

Have airlines flocked there from other airports or have things stayed pretty much as they were?

Noticed this week that can't get BAA Worldpoints at LGW now. Not a massive concern - just save the expensive tax free purchases for LHR.

Noticed this week that can't get BAA Worldpoints at LGW now. Not a massive concern - just save the expensive tax free purchases for LHR.

That stopped when the sale whent through ( and I think even in advance of the sale).

Just wished I'd noticed Worldpoints when I got my "James Bond' watch at LHR last year. Still, at least we used the AMEX...hate missing opportunities on earning miles!

Increased landing fees may well mean the reverse - fewer routes - additional pull-outs
