From EC to UC... yeah, are you in EC or PE? If PE then its probably about £600 I expect?! I never recommend paying on the day to UC, you can often get a decent price from EC to PE at the airport but to UC... its always a lot more than what I would deem a bargain.

Agree, no not worth it from PE and would be amazed if many take it up..daft as missed opportunity for extra revenue if they priced it sensibly..

Hmm. My reading of those numbers would be that there might be an outside chance of an op up from PE to UC. PE is zeroed, and economy is filling up (Y8). So if PE is oversold, or there is a need to move some Y pax up to W, an op up is not out of the question with UC wide open.

I am sure your VS17 experience will be better than mine last week. I did enquiry about an upgrade at check in from PE to UC and was told I would need to pay £849 - though it was the last seat if that has anythng to do with it.

Enjoy your trip and the PE experience.

Hmm. prob is Mrs NH has only flown UC in the last 6 months so back to reality with a bump.. ): and being on a ticket with 2 adults and an ankle biter, the chance of one op up, is slim in the extreme..although will enquire as will help her bad back immensely..
Snr NH is in Y though so keen to try a push forward for her..
6-800 isn't worth it..especially as we don't all get the lounge on the back of one UG.

Try £850 from PE into an empty UC

Same as we experienced to ORD a couple of years back. I saw the manifest and only 7 UCS were taken, asked about an upgrade price and was given something around the £800/£900 pp (plus miles) mark. We got great service in PE though...
