I wish they spent more time focussing on their planes cleanliness than the design of a pair of shoes for their staff. Recently flew UC to LAS and the UCS was in a terrible state - dirty and broken. Virgins priorities are totally bizarre if you were to ask me.

I quite agree. shoes are not really a priority, they don't even have to wear them on the flight anyway. But.....Oh I do so love red shoes, I have red shoes too y)

"We have listened to our staff's comments and we have been working very hard to develop a pair of patent leather red shoes that will reflect the glamour of our iconic uniform," Steve Ridgway, chief executive of Virgin Atlantic Airways, said.

That'll be a first then ! :D

The thing is that shoes have to be replaced every 6-12 months depending on wear and tear. This time, they are just being replaced with red shoes rather than black shoes. :)

Excellent news - I can't wait for the next safety briefing. I'll have no idea where the exits are but those shoes will bring a smile to my face.
:)

I wonder what the rollout plans are for the Dorothy (A300-3") and Dotty (A300-2") are?

Thanks Tinks, can't wait.

There are some close ups (of the shoes not the aircraft :) ) and other A330 rollout news here at Jaunted.com

Patent leather - eeek! :0

The nuns always told us we should never wear patent leather shoes when in male company in case they could see our underwear reflected in them :| :w
