Some of you will be aware of my ongoing battle with the issue of not getting flying club miles for bought seats which happen to have kids in them...
eg:
here

This is priceless...(excuse the pun)

On my recent trip to EWR guess what, No kids pack.
now, these red bags are purely just that, prity much empty with a couple of really cheap & nasty (£1 shop, I kid not) items inside. The point is on writing to VS, I was advised that they didn't offer miles to their younger flyers, unless Gold, as they provided an "exciting" kids pack instead... plus fantastic inflight entertainment (obvious hadn't flown on a high proportion of the existing fleet), Everytime we have flown out of LHR we have Never been offered one...I shouldn't have to remember to ask just at that time walking the bridge and stepping onboard, VS claim this "service" is in leu of Miles..They also know how many kids are onboard..

I raised the issue with CC, who in turn raised with FSM, who in turn advised they would mail me one. :0

Guess what on return after flying home, a fully parcelled up red bag, inclusive of the pencil, A5 pound shop colouring book, and mini pack of lovehearts...imagine mini NH's utter gasps of joy ?|

What a complete waste of money v(

I've got an inventory photo of content so should be interesting to compare...

Ah, but on BA you get the miles and a household account!

Nh - you and I are very much on the same page here, as you know.

On my recent LHR-LAX/LAX/LHR in UC, no kids packs!! Mind you, they are an utter waste of space, and the fact that I've had less than 1 for mini-Concorde on every 3 rtn flights, doesn't reallly matter and she is sick of them anyway!

I promised you I'd write to VS on this, and have a letter already drafted - I'll get it sent in the next week.

For an airline that tries to be family friendly, and prides itself on treating kids well on-baord, the lack of loyalty reward is quite irritating.

Mind you, as has been pointed out before, we do keep coming back!!!
