Hi

In 'Manage Booking' on the Virgin website, I was asked to accept a schedule change for my flight on 12th June. There were no actual changes to the flight date/time so assume it's going to be an equipment change as I am no longer to view 'pre-book your seat'. Annoyingly I had secured my favourite seats in the bubble.

Is there any way of confirming the aircraft change (its VS43 and VS44).

Any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks

Kazza

They don't make you accept anything for an equipment change.

As you said, it was presented to you as a schedule change, so that is what it will have been, are you sure the times haven't changed, even very slightly so it might not be immediately noticeable (like 5mins), as those sort of things do happen quite a lot.

Hi Neil

Thanks for the reply.

Double checked against the E ticket, definitely no changes to date and time of flights.

Only difference is that the seat map has disappeared and unable to view my pre-booked seat.

I have the same for our flight returning June 30th from LAS-LGW. However the flight times are exactly the same. No change in outbound flight on the 7th either.....I just accepted. Software glitch?? 8D

Hi

Just checked our forthcoming flight Gatwick to Orlando and found exactly the same. I had to confirm changes to time but their wasn't any, then my seat request has disappeared with no option to request again. We are flying PE and no seating plans shown on expert flyer for PE that date although Upper and Economy are.

If its only PE that's missing it's probably a change between config 1 and 2 LGW types, nothing more.

Yes - the same thing has happened to us today. Our flight is Man/Las return in January. I have received the same e-mail asking me to accept a flight schedule change - but there is no change. It's identical to the minute. The seat map is also unavailable. Rather strange.

Same thing on our MAN/MCO outbound in October.

It seems to have happened on the flights due to be operated by the LGW/MAN 747's. I am wondering if this is the first signs of the refits, and maybe a new config?

So, I decided to give VS a call about this. The CS agent knew about the issue, but they don't know why it has happened, they are waiting for an explanation themselves.

It has just affected bookings in PE on the LGW/MAN 747's.

Thanks for the update Neil.

Something very odd going on...I've just checked my PE flights for Jan 2012 and the same issue as everyone else.

Hope they resolve it soon, we've booked our seats on 2 seperate bookings so may well get split up now! grrrr!

Can't even get into the screen to manage anything, just says cannot retrieve your booking contact your agent. We have booked via VH, for Sept LGW/LAS will see if it sorts itelf out. As don't fancy being on the phone for hours, as some have already been on it saves me the trouble. Thanks will keep updated on your site. All the members and guests do a wonderful job saves no end of phone calls. Very invaluable. oo)

Yup, same here.

We have two trips booked from MAN to MCO, this August and next March/April.

Flying out in PE on VS075, this is unaffected so far but on both return flights on VS074 we can no longer access the seating plan, so presume we no longer have our bubble seats reserved.

As you are booked via an agent - you will need to contact them so they know you are aware of the schedule change, otherwise when the seat map comes back up you still won't have access to it and it could affect your ability to do OLCI.

I'm guessing there is some sort of system glitch or change, and there is a good chance all existing seat reservations will be kept. It is worth checking on a regular basis so that when a seat map does come back you can grab some good seats if all the reservations have been mixed up.

Still "hitched" if that is what it really is. Our GTW flight out to Florida on PE is affected, but the 744 flight back from MIA back to LHR is still showing the same seats!! It looks like a very odd software glitch if that is what it ends up being.
