Virgin Atlantic is pleased to announce that we have signed a Codeshare Agreement with Air New Zealand. This new agreement will offer more flexibility and choice on routings between the UK and New Zealand for both our passengers and Air New Zealand's.

I thought they already had a codeshare?

Been on the VS for months?

Shame they can't offer opportunity to use miles on NZ flights.....

Note the use of the words "offer opportunities" as don't believe anyone's actually managed it yet!

They are stressing this is a new codeshare agreement, not the one that has been around for ages, don't know what exactly the changes are but hopefully they are improvements.

A good point. But then again other VS airlines line VA have a codeshare with Delta, in SkyTeam, so what does that tell us?

It may just be the extension of some of the routes as shown here.
