Fares stay at £1400 for July & August! :0 :0 :0

Has someone in IT just been sacked and having a last fling?

Yes, I booked 4 adults and one infant to MIA about a month ago.... (at about £2500 an adult) :/

Only fortunate thing is that I am not paying - still, ouch!

I've been looking about getting a late deal close to the dates I want as its been swinging up and down to around £425 yesterday but MIA in UC for £1400 is a absolute steal! It's soo tempting just to book it right now!

Go for it, I can't see fares like that being around for long!

Well I was too tempted. Flights to Miami all booked :)

Thanks NH for the heads up. y)

I'm sure the pilot situation will be resolved in time for my flights at the end of Aug start of Sept.

I think the MIA fare is a mistake. I looked last night and could book for £1440. Been on this morning to book and all the fares have changed. On the matrix it appears at the right price but when click through it won't sell you 2 Z's, even though you can search different days and Z's are available on both flights. Not happy at all!!

It does look like a mistake which VS are half way through rectifying!

The dates I checked yesterday for 2nd July to 16th July to MIA were £1439 and definitely showed right up to booking but now the matrix shows £1439 still but when I click through it totals to £4699!!

Have the flights sold very quickly or was it a mistake?! HMMMM

Hope anyone who wanted to book did so yesterday!!

Boston looks like it's correct, same dates as above lets you go through to booking for £1439 as before with no issues right up to payment.

Perhaps just a "keying error" on the MIA price.

Again - are the prices checked before going live?

The fares to MIA are still bookable.

Just did a dummy run and got right up to "Next up: Confirm & Pay" when asking for 2 seats to MIA 30thAugust until September 12th:-Total for passengers GBP 2,879.86

Soooo wish the dates started later, coz I'd fly into MIA and get an internal flight over to Phoenix for my planned autumn trip. The UC fares for that trip showing £6675.86 :(

Good luck to anyone who secures these fares, if it has been a mistake.

Couldn't resist, so I've booked a trip for me and Mrs M for 8 days at the end of August, flying into BOS and out of JFK at £1,579 each for UC Z fares. I have never paid real money for UC tickets before, but I'm sure the V-Flyer buzz has made me more reckless ):

A couple of questions for the UC experts.
1) I have reserved 4K & 5K for the 346 on the way out. The UC cabin looks virtually empty at the moment so we could go anywhere. Does anyone have any recommendations about whether these are good seats for a couple on a day flight?

On the way back on VS46 I have selected 15A & 16A in the 744 from JFK. 12A has gone, so I can't do the recommended 12A & K.

These all look good from the V-F seat ratings, but interested to hear any other views.

2) I booked the seats on the phone with the Premier line, and they were very helpful. I also wanted to use some miles to book a CDC to takes us to and from the airport, but they said because it was a sale fare, I could not use miles. I think the rule is you can only use miles for CDC only reward fares and upgrades.

Is that true? Seems like another nonsense rule they have to stop me using my 300K FC miles v(

I may just pay Tristar, but I'd rather use 17,500 miles if I could. Has anyone had experience of this?

Thanks

Martin

That's right. CDC with miles can only be done on G fares. No idea on the reason, but that' always been the case.
