Will.I.Am and Taboo were sat next to me in the clubhouse today. They're two of the Black Eyed Peas, in case you were wondering!

The Clubhouse staff were falling over themselves to ensure they had everything they wanted.

I played it cool, until I couldn't resist the opportunity any longer and so I happened to time a wander around the Clubhouse to "bump" into Mr I.Am and having politely asked if he minded a photo of the two of us, he promptly took my iPhone and took the photo himself. Actually, he took two photos, because he didn't like that he wasn't smiling in the first one!

Fergie (the female BEP) was a couple of seats down from Dragonbaby a few years ago and was very sweet to her (I had absolutely no idea who she was despite the uber fawning crew.. ?| ).
Others for for me,
SRB, Hugh Laurie, Jonathon Ross (and family), Nigel Lythgoe (several times), Nicko Mc Brain (Iron Maiden),Brian Downey, Scott Gorham, Darren Wheaton (Thin Lizzy) and one of whom insisted he swap seats as Mr DL and I had been split up :) , and I've also had the misfortune to encounter this horror....forum/index.php?f=13&t=254009&hilit=diva&rb_v=viewtopic

Had Richard Branson on a flight back from Barbados in 2005 (I think). He made a point of walking through the economy and PE sections of the plane to ask people if they were happy with the VS experience! Was quite impressed with this hands on approach especially as it was 6am!

Jake Gyllenhaal when he was on his way to start filming Prince of Persia. LAX-LHR June 2008. Saw him in the Air New Zealand lounge first. He spent the whole time on the phone (probably to Reece at the time). When he entered the lounge we had a moment. I was like a stunned mullet. Took a while to recognise him as he had long hair and a hoodie so I think that's how we ended up staring into each other's eyes for what felt like an eternity.

David Seaman with his wife and family in the LGW Clubhouse in, I think, 2005. They came to sit alongside us at the end of the CH where the cinema used to be and he was really nice to everybody there agreeing to pose for photos. I have a photo of my son with him. John later went to watch the British Open which was on at the time and David joined him and they had a really good chat y)

Hugh Laurie in the LHR Clubhouse in 2009

My epic fail - being in the SFO CH in 2009 straight off the VS19. I was presenting the V-Flyer award to Claire (who to most V-Fs of a certain VF generation, is a celebrity in her own right) and waited till she had dispatched passengers to the VS20. I then found out I had been standing beside Robin Williams! :|

I've also seen the reporter with the beaky nose and long hair from Airport in LHR and also the rather frumpy lady from UK Border Force in the Immigration hall :)

Oh I like her - she has a no nonsense approach. The other day I saw the one where she was asking a supposed IT student what a URL was ...

Bur aren't you forgetting your close encounter with one SRB or is he not a celeb?

Ooooh, tonty, I forgot to mention that one. :| I was so fixated on trying to remember when I saw Hugh Laurie that it slipped my mind :D

OK, SRB was in the next suite to me on a flight from EWR. It was obviously a working flight as he came on last and left first but not before coming on the PA just after landing to thank everyone for flying VS. Having said that, my luggage came out before his :D

Well, noticed a "serious-looking dude" type character on a flight back from LA in June, all in black and wearing a black cowboy style hat. He drank at the bar alone, I thought about joining him but got absorbed in a film.

On getting of the plane, realised it was Lemmy from Motorhead and remember thinking he might have had some interesting stories to relate at the bar... He died a couple of weeks later.

Other famous faces have included Al Paccino, Paul McCartney and Steve Backley, although not sure he's in the same league as the others :D .

That's a relief. VB's post rather took me aback. Are we confident that Al Pacino, Paul McCartney and Steve Backley are all still with us...?

Hmmmm, well I was rather surprised when I read (in the paper!) that he'd died, as he looked fairly healthy on the plane :o) .

Wouldn't have been the first time an obit' has been prematurely published I suppose. Well, maybe he'll be on my flight to LA tomorrow, in which case I'll join him at the bar for a bottle of JD or two... :D

Coming home from South Africa after the world cup last year in the JNB clubhouse were Ant and Dec, Geoff Hurst and Rio Ferdinand (going home injured).
Ant and Dec were sat with us and extremely pleasant talking to my young daughters on the phone!
From Mco on Vs076 this summer was Paul Merson and his 3 children and he had time for anyone who wanted to talk football!
