So, I just checked in at JFK on a K (lowest PE) booking. I'd already printed my boarding pass but the agent reprinted it as a W (top fare PE).

I'm sitting in the lounge pondering whether I'm about to get called for an upgrade.....

Anyone got any ideas why that would happen?

Fingers crossed for a magic beep,
Mat

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there are only three codes printed on boarding passes. J for Upper W for PE and Y for Economy.

It doesn't you won't get called for an upgrade, but the code on the BP isn't an indicator of this.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the reply - that makes sense - I've guess I just never noticed before.

Sadly, I didn't get called but it was a very pleasant flight and I've just had a nice breakfast in revivals!

Cheers,
Mat

Those damn fare codes. I once had someone showing me their ticket (not their boarding pass) and telling me that fare code "B" stood for "Business" so therefore they should be sat in Upper. :w
