flights to Barbados

I'm booked to fly out on Friday 10 June to Barbados on VS035 - returning on the VS036 the following friday.

At the moment i've only managed to secure "not so good" seats - 37J and 37K going out.

Would anyone please be able to tell me if the flight really is that busy?

I've got about 75,000 Virgin air miles to use and was also thinking of upgrading to premium economy also - any ideas how I go about this please?

Only 60% of seats are available for pre-request.

Most of the remainder will be released at OLCI which opens 24 hrs before your flight is due to depart but it is also worth checking 3-4 hours before this as sometimes they are released a little early. You can change to any of the seats that have opened up.

As to upgrading it depends on which fare bucket your ticket is in as not all are eligible to be upgraded. The 'bucket' will be listed on your e-ticket or in 'manage my bookings'.

You will need 20k miles (each) to upgrade from Econ to PE (return) plus you will have to pay the extra fees and taxes.

The easiest way to do is give flying club a ring as even if there are seats in PE there needs to be tickets in a particular bucket available to upgrade into.
