I/we have extended an invitation to two people to visit the clubhouse at Heathrow, could someone tell me the proper way to go about this so as I son't dissapoint them by messing things up.

Do i just give the reception names and flight number?

I am asking here rather than use search just so I know the advice is up to date.

Sorry not to invite a vflyer I wanted a couple of Dibbers to experience the clubhouse :|

Thank you.

Are they flying on Virgin? If yes, don't you have to be there when they arrive? Didn't think you could just leave their details at the front desk. Might be wrong though - I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me!

i've done this in the past & done as you suggest - left their name at the reception desk, the receptionist didn't ask for the flight number or where they were flying, just the name was fine.

Obviously i had to be there to give their name in the first place. I wasn't called back to the desk when they arrived, they were simply allowed in

It all seems to have changed recently. It used to be that you could just get them in, and that was it.

I understand from posts recently, that guests can only be in the lounge whilst you are there, though I have no idea how this is enforced.

In a perfect world, you arrive together. I think it has always been the case the people with access have to arrive first - I don't think that guests can't walk in on the promise that someone will be along later to 'sign' them in. :D

Thanks Nick, naturally I will be there and intend to text my guests when we arrive and meet them at the door. Thier flight on VS to JFK leaves before mine to LAX so they leave before us.

Really I am just looking for reassurance that they can come in whilst me and my partner are there as our guest and that i am doing the right thing, would hate to dissapoint people and also don't want to ignore any required protocols.

Thank you y)

EGG, when I've guested others in (in various CHs) they've either arrived with me, or I've gone out to meet them following a text/calland then brought them in with me (as you plan to do) :) .
I'm sure your fellow Dibbers will be overwhelmed by the CH :D .
