Hello everyone. I am planning some UC trips and have a simple question.

When is the LHR Clubhouse typically least busy?

(I'm mainly interested in times of the day -- but would also be interested to learn if there are quieter days too.)

I expect I'll be flying to NYC and would normally take VS45, VS9, or VS1. But I can take VS3 or even VS17 if it would make for a much quieter and more relaxing Clubhouse experience.

Thank you very much in advance for your advice. :)

I was very tempted to give a smart answer and say "Before it opens and after it closes" when I saw the title ): :o)

I would imagine it would be before the VS3 as that flight would be called before the majority of the mid-morning flight passengers would arrive.

Before the VS17 it is quite likely to be busy as there is a raft of flights around that time

Hi,

We've only had one visit so far n(

But we arrived early, (0700 when it opened), and it was really quiet for a couple of hours. Were able to book treatments which is something that I understand can be an issue when it is busy. It was a Sunday in early December.

We were delayed so didn't leave until 1300ish - it was busier then but there were still plenty of places to sit. You would've had to wait for a game of pool though! Although I'm unsure of the CH etiquette on this; in a pub one simply leaves 50p on the side of the table...

So I reckon early, champagne breakfast, shoulder massage and fly. VS003 to avoid the queues at JFK.

Craig.

Hi all

Do you know what it's like in the evening? Our NBO flight is at 9pm so we'll be getting in a few hours before- having read through the forum most people report about the CH during the morning or evening. As it's our first go I'm grateful for any information.

There are quite a few flights that leave for different parts of Africa around about the 10pm time as well as ones to Dubai, Delhi and Hong Kong so it is quite likely to be busy, although your flight may well be called before it reaches its peak

Thanks very much for your replies -- and many apologies to honey lamb for my forgetting to state that I was mainly interested in quiet times when the clubhouse is actually open. :)

I have actually gone for VS45, because VS3 would be a very early start for me. I am dreading the immigration queue already...

Does the day itself make much difference to the busy-ness of the Clubhouse? I have to fly on Saturday on this trip for work reasons. Normally I'd try to go mid-week, but I have no idea which days are typically quieter than others. Can anyone advise, or is it much of a muchness?

I flew out on the VS045 in march and found the CH quite empty when we arrived c.1130 but was busy by 1230! This was a Wednesday.

My anecdotal experience was a few years back when BH took an SFO flight when they were leaving at 9:30am, and I was on the BOS flight, so had to spend about 7hrs in the CH. It aligns with flyerdavid's and Luke's observation, the place got quieter once SFO and LAX first flight would take off, 11:30am sounds good, by 1pm it was hopping again.

Tue/Wed/Sat always quieter as well.
