Happy in the LHR Clubhouse

My name is Parick & i'm a clubhouse addict, it's been almost 4 months since my last fix

its starting to feel like a home from home, if you're not facing the windows its easy to forget you're in an airport, never mind a transit lounge. It's very quiet in here today - as quiet as i've ever seen it on a sunday lunchtime anyway. no hair being cut, no shoes being shined & staff prowling looking desparately for someone to serve, which makes a nice change. Seems to be quite a few newbies being ushered in by the receptionists & shown the layout.

3 hours to kill now before my Newark flight, i've tried the Egg & Bacon Salad which wasn;t what i was expecting at all - a poached egg coated & deep fried served with endive leaves, new spuds & bacon 'sprinkles'. Refined & delish, i think i'll give it half an hour & go browse the deli next

Great soundtrack today too with some Weller & a bit of Northern Soul playing just now 8D

It says something about the CH when our visit was one of the highlights of our month long honeymoon in California/Vegas!

A deep fried poached egg ?| ?? I'll have to try this out next week (one of those love/ hate things I think ).

Hasn't been working for ages, for celeb spotting gossip with the spa staff, they usually know who's coming in.

It wasn't working at least the past 2 times I have been does look a bit pants not working.

MrsPJH had the same dish in a restaurant in Stilton the other week and declared it very palatable.
