VS001 LHR-EWR diverted to BOS tonight

in the lounge waiting to leave on VS002 & the inbound VS001 has diverted to Boston to re-fuel due to weather. currently looking at a 1 hour delayed departure

Yeah, Massachussetts and Connecticut have been battered by the wind, thunder and lightning this evening.

As with any heatwave the storms have to follow, I understand it almost topped 100 degrees in EWR/NYC yesterday.

Hope the delay wasn't too long.

Inevitable at this time of year, lots of these storms late in the evening that cause chaos at the airports.

I'm in NYC and it was very stormy last evening after a day of intense heat that topped 100. Looks like everything got airborne back to the UK tho! I'm flying back on 46 tonight so hopefully all ok!!

it was topping 100 degrees for 2 days in NJ, it just had to break last night..

finally boarded just after 11 & got airbourne around midnight local time, arrived in LHR 2 hours late so overall not too bad
