VS004 Upper Class

I need some feedback as to the type of service on this flight. Unlike many people I do not sleep on aircraft, so am not interested in the "sleeper" service or whatever it is called that you get on VS046.

I am hoping for drinks, a decent dinner and then a snuggle down for a few hours. If there is no regular food service, then I would prefer to take VS18 out of Newark where I know you get lunch/dinner prior to landing.

Any advice would be welcome.

There is a regular food service on all flights, the sleeper service (snooze zone) is only on part of the aircraft so people who want to sleep aren't disturbed as much.

On the VS004 you do get a full drinks and meal service - this is not a designated "Snooze Zone" flight.

Its the full bells and whistles, however I note your comment about the VS18 - that is my personal fav in UC from New York, breakfast after take off, a lesiurely few drinks/nap and then a full dinner service.

If you're looking for more of a flying bed for the night (not that there is anything wrong with that!), take VS4.

If you want 'the Upper Class bells and whistles' - take VS18.

Surely answers depend on which time zone your home is in, and duration of trip.

If I am living in USA and doing a quick trip over, then I'd take a late night flight (VS10?) keep on your USA body clock, sleep through US night, get woken up at reasonable time. You arrive in London with a normal nights sleep behind you and most of the day to go.

However if I am going from my home USA time zone for a longer trip to UK, a week+ for example, then I take an earlier flight, or even a daytime one, to begin the push over to UK time.

Having said that I'm still pretty tuckered out in either case!

Thanks for the information. When I flew over a few weeks ago on VS46 I guess I was in a snooze zone, but since nobody ever mentioned "snooze" at all, I am not sure. Frankly the whole of upper class was dark inside 30 minutes out of JFK; the food service really limited and I was not even offered a glass of wine with dinner - but I have already "discussed" that with Virgin, so I will not digress.

I cannot sleep on planes, so prefer a flight where things are going on. I find I can fly overnight, land in London (I live in Connecticut) and pretty much last the whole of the day and evening in the UK before sleep, but VS18 is good as it lands the same evening. I was just frankly very bored on the snooze flight, and the service was not that good. I think the answer is VS18, but I appreciate your comments and help.
