Had an email from FC earlier.

You know how rewarding Flying Club miles are. Well, we’ve come up with a way you can grab a lot more of them. Transfer your American Express® Membership Rewards® points to Flying Club miles between 23 June and 24 July 2011, and we’ll give you 30% more miles as a bonus*.

* The offer is valid on first tip only to the recipient of this mailing and is not transferable. American Express Membership Rewards points transfer requests to Virgin Atlantic that occur between 23 June and 24 July 2011 will be eligible for the 30% bonus mile offer. To be eligible to receive the bonus Flying Club miles, the Flying Club account must be active and not in default at the time of the bonus fulfilment. To redeem the offer, you must transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to your linked Flying Club account between 23 June and 24 July 2011. Minimum transfer is 1,000 American Express Membership Rewards points. Bonus miles will be posted to your Flying Club account within 14 days after the transfer. Offer is not combinable with any other offer. Offer is subject to the Terms and Conditions of Virgin Atlantic Flying Club programme. Full details can be found at http://www.virginatlantic.com/flyingclub. Normal redemption passenger taxes, fees and charges apply to all redemption bookings and are subject to change.

American Express Membership Rewards points must be exchanged in units of 500 with a minimum of 1,000 per transfer, and may only be transferred to the Flying Club account of the main Cardmember. Miles cannot be transferred back to American Express once credited to your Flying Club account.

Looks targeted and for first transfer only in the period. Will be handy to offload my last remaining MR points before I cancel the card.

You sure its from Amex - and not Flying Club?

Reads as though its from FC and other posts over at FT seem to suggest its from FC too...

Yes, the email definitely came from VS FC with all the usual graphics, etc. I wonder how they decide who to send them out to?

I think I must have transferred about 60-70K MR points to VS over the last 12 months.
