VS22 IAD- Thurs 23rd June - Stuck 2 days in Boston (UC)

Just noticed from the Latest VA Movements on the home page that G-VWEB left Boston today using VS122. Looks like it took quite some time to fix!

Am intrigued -would love to know what the outcome of this was.

There are so many possibilities I'm not even going to speculate, and there could also be many reasons for the engineers crawling all over the aircraft for a long time.

Sadly though, we'll probably never find out.

It seems that G-VWEB has now gone to MNL. The flight data here does show a trip to DXB too, but suspect that's an error.

The trip to MNL sounds like it needs some more extensive maintenance.

Purely out of interest (and partly as I'm a nervous flyer), do they do flight tests before they put the planes back into action?

Yes. Any maintenance, especially the kind that would be done in Manila would have a couple of test flights before being returned to the fleet

Looks like she's back in service and the Manila flight is for scheduled maintenance next week.

They have updated her trip back home from BOS too

Obviously they feel confident that they have sorted the problem out otherwise she wouldn't be doing the DXB run.
