Of course, theres 1.5K spend before 90 days.

Thats a total of 18K, because you seem to still get the 6K too.

I've a question, this is an amex, I'm considering a platinum amex in the future (lounges etc and 40K bonus sign on), is there any problem having both?

And if you recommend friends to get the VS AX, then you earn 1000miles and the new member gets another 3000miles on their first purchase in addition to the 18K!

Receive 3,000 Flying Club miles on your first card purchase for applying through this offer1

An extra 6,000 Flying Club miles when that first card purchase is made within 90 days of your account being opened2

PLUS, 12,000 additional bonus miles when you apply before 31 August 2011 and spend £1,500 in your first 90 days7

If anyone wants me to recommend them... :)

No issues with having both, assuming your credit rating allows for it. To be honest, I much prefer my Amex Platinum, if only for the PTS service and added card benefits. You would have to weigh up whether it warrants the £300 yearly fee - but in my opinion, it does.

I would wait however until they have another bonus scheme before applying - could miss out on at least 40000 MR otherwise.

Im finding that i'm using my black VS amex less and less now - only for booking travel directly with VS as it gives a higher FC points value :)
