On arrival at the airport, obviously having premium status meant nothing to the check in agent who wad rude and unhelpful! Having dropped off bag it was off to security - this has been revamped - now to access security, rather than a person checking your boarding cards, there are automated gates and you scan your boarding pass - very funky! The security staff had obviously been to the same charm school as the check-in staff!
Not long in the lounge - thankfully as it was very busy due to a few delayed flights and therefore hardly any seats left.
Boarding was on time - I had moved my seatat online check-in as the row was free this was a bad move - the seat I choose was in the last three rows and was definitely narrower!
After take-off, service started. It was a full flight - those in premium economy got a whole tray of food. Those of us in economy got a drink and sandwich/crisps/biscuits. I was impressed - the gin was Bombay Sapphire (in a glass bottle) and the sandwich was good!
Short flight, so soon time to land in Dublin - unfortunately the "old terminal".
Overall impression:
- in flight service and cabin crew very good
- ground staff need some time at "charm school"
