CDC on a "D" fare

Hi all,

We usually fly down to LGW the day before flying across the pond. If I book an Upper D fare which has a CDC, can one leg of the CDC be used the day before to take us to EDI for the shuttle down or does it have to be used on the day of departure.

Good question. I'm not sure but would suggest calling VS to check.

I have a feeling that the CDC on a J,D or R fare, has to be day of departure... But I'm not certain. I'm sure someone will know for sure though. Could ask when you are looking up prices.

Bit bad to answer my own question, but just been told, if I use twilight checkin at LGW, one portion of the CDC can be used the day before departure y)

Must get on and book some flights now that the GP is finished ...

Good news, so you can use CDC on day of check-in I gather from that.

I thought a CDC had to take you to/from an airport served by VS?

No, we have used it a few times from EDI to take us home, even though the shuttle wasn't booked on the same PNR.

(The was of course on the same "day" as arriving into the UK but wasn't sure if it could be used on the day before departure)
