Hi Newbie here so please be patient if this has been answered before as I cannot find it.
I am due to fly to St Lucia end of August with Virgin to Sandals, however I purchased the holiday through a travel company.
I know I can check in online etc and go to the twilight check in but, can I pay for the extra leg rooms seats at Twilight check in or do I have to wait for the day I actually fly? In which case is it worth bothering with the twilight??
Also anyone got any idea of the cost of PE, or even just one way PE..ie return from St Lucia.
Would be so grateful for some advice. :)

Having been to st Lucia earlier this year, the answers I got to both questions were:

1) Extra legroom seats are made available on the day of the flight only
2) Costs - if they have room - of an upgrade at the airport from Y to PE tend to be in order of £250 per person/each way - although there is a bit of variability there.

I don't think you'd be able to upgrade before then as you didn't book directly with virgin - only option might be to try through the travel agency you used.

Thanks so much. Not worth using the twilight check in then. I did query a PE upgrade with the travel agent but they wanted £495 each, each way!!!!!!!!!!!!

ISTBC but I belive you can buy ELR seats at TCI.

i bought and paid for exit rows before flying -well in advance.now they ARE worth the extra 50 quid

I would like the extra leg room seats if possible but not the exit row seats. Had those to Barbados and it was ghastly. Seats no bigger than Ryanair's and right next to the smelly toilet. Yuck.
I have emailed Virgin re buying the seats at TCI but so far no reply. I know I can't get them in advance as I didn't buy through Virgin.
Now i don't know what to do!! LOL

I stand corrected on the leg room seats then. Clearly the information I received was erroneous.

Personally, while I will never be very comfortable in any seat in Y, the bulkhead 'extra legroom' ones are particularly bad because not only does your chance of being near babies increase, but you also lose the ability to strtch your legs as far because you're up against a wall.

Just my own personal view as a strapping 6-footer though!

Oh I see the seats are in front of that 'wall'? I suppose the only redeeming feature would be that no one in front could recline their seat and pin you to your chair!! I see I shall have to think about this. But great advice thank you.
