There is frequently discussion about what you actually get as a Gold member if you generally travel UC.

Here are a couple of suggestions for everyone's consideration.

1. When flying Virgin America (First or MCS) allow lounge access for member. Instead of charging me $35 yesterday at JFK.

2. Allow Gold to reserve future reward tickets should they become available.

I think this is an excellent idea. It would cost VS very little except a bit of admin and would be of huge value to AU card holders.

The other suggestion re the VX lounges is also good but I can imagine there would be an argument about who is going to pay the $35 they currently charge.

There is the risk that this will set expectations too high that VS won't be able to meet. Think of how many disappointed premium travellers there will be who have pre-reserved their reward seats that subsequently never become available. Not sure how it could be workable?

VS is trying hard to grow its US-based FC base. This would be a great way to grow the base. Perhaps free for Golds and $15 for Silvers.
