No its a planned change. It's doing (as far as I can remember) 3-4 MAN-MCO flights a week on a regular schedule.

The A330 operates the daily MAN-MCO VS75/76 service. This is a permanent change, and the IFE known as JAM is better than V-Port which is on the LHR fleet. It is touch screen and allows you to use your own devices with it.

As for the IFE is it better or same than the LHR one, or better?

There are two new A330-300 aircraft which have been assigned to some of the LGW/MAN routes to and from MCO. They have a brand new IFE, V-JAM and the consensus of those who have experienced it is that it is far superior to anything Virgin has to offer including V-PORT.

Incidentally, contrary to popular perception the LGW/MAN 747s are newer that most of the LHR 747s and are not that old in terms of aircraft years

Hi Guys

HELP! Just found out that we will not be able to use the Lounge at Manchester as we are flying Prem class on a A330! We did not ask them to put this plane on so why should we be penalised for not being able to fly UC or not use the lounge? Not more dissapointemnt from VIRGIN!

Bye Virgin!!!

I take it you mean the V-Room at MAN? AFAIK, the only way to get entry there is by booking through VH, but ISTBC. Of course, you can always pay to use the various lounges at MAN. :)

I'm sorry but your argument or upset just isn't justified. Travelling PE does not give you lounge access, that would be the same if you were on the VS 747 or flying on any airline. The price difference between UC and PE is a good £800+ minimum, and is still available ex MAN on the 747 that operates 4xweekly flights.

UC pax only get access to the Escape Lounge that can be booked via the MAN airport website (or any sites like Holiday Extras) for £20 per person, so why not just book it direct, it will work out hell as a lot cheaper than flying UC.

I'm with Neil on this.

You would not have got access to the lounge even if a 747 was operating as you are flying in PE.! Just because there is no UC on your flight does not mean that PE somehow gets given UC benefits.

Whilst you "did not ask them ..." to put the A330 on this flight on the MAN- MCO route I believe that you voluntarily booked a seat in PE on this flight. It is not as though you could claim this was a mistake as the VS booking engine comes up with 'no flights' if the cabin is not avalable.
