Had a call today from MBNA - essentially telling me that my card wasn't included! When I asked why, as both himself and I have white cards, they said that it was probably to do with his spend patters. Which is a total nonsense. I told them that we'd both had emails about the promotion and they've asked me to send in my email. And I haven't got it - so maybe I didn't get it and it IS just himself who was targeted. Seems a very poor show though..., especially as we both spend about the same on petrol and food shopping...

Am I bitter and twisted? You bet I am! In the race for points, himself is ahead of me by about 10,000 points.... ): ):

You can call them from overseas per the note on the MBNA website:
"Please call the international operator and ask for the charges to be reversed: +(44 1244) 673 101 "

Or, you can log into your MBNA online Acount and send them a secure message.

The online messaging is really good and quite responsive, usually get a reply the next day.

I didn't get an email about the bonus points either, and didn't have them awarded on my spend either. :( Have just got the black card, so the race is on for the PE reward upg... :)

Sorry to bring up an old thread but are any of you still experiencing an issue? My statement was July 10th and still nothing. I've called both MBNA and the VS Flying Club and they're blaming each other... I've also tried the online contact form.

Quick tip if you're phoning MBNA, when it asks what you're calling for just say "Speak to an advisor" and you go through ever so slightly quicker.

There is still an ongoing issue transferring miles for July for some people (me included).

VS informed me that they and MBNA are aware of the issue and July miles should be transferred along with Augusts.

I spoke to Amex / MBNA yesterday. I had 4500 miles that hadnt been added to my account. The technical team i spoke to said that people who had their statements generated around the 9th July had problems getting their miles. They send a file to the flying club which states who gets what miles credited to their account. This file however was sent with 0 miles for all card holders!
Im happy to say mine have been put on today..1 month late.
No panic though - they know about it and what the problem is.

Mine were late by a few days but are there now and presumably all the offer miles (up to that date) have been added as the balance grew rather a lot ...

Now have the (rather nice) dilemna of enough BA miles for a transatlantic trip in WT+ and a transatlantic trip (after next month) in UC....

August miles 'sort of' credited correctly this month. I seem to have received Aug + July even though I'd already had July miles transfered last week ?|


Also loving MBNAs customer relations department - NOT.

Contacted them in July about this, where they informed me I'd receive a response before Aug 11th. Received a letter yesterday informing me that 'investigations are taking longer than expected' and I will now receive a response before September 9th!!!

How long does it actually take to tell me the file MBNA sent to VS on July 9th was blank :w :w VS told me this weeks ago!!!

Yes I got a shock when I saw in my FC account a larger number of miles than expected and I thought either I'd gone on a spree or someone had hacked my card! But all ok when I checked my MBNA account.

They really are hopeless !

Its not just miles being posted late, my virgin estore account has vanished again losing my purchases and history for the second time in 3 months.
Needless to say my card anniversary is 19th of next month and i wont be renewing.
mbna offered me 6k points to stay but its not the point!
The proper amex cards have never once since joining them from 2006 have ever given me one issue to complain about so im moving totally over.

There is somthing up with the whole MBNA IT system.

I haven't had any emails the last couple of months telling me my statement is ready to view online either.

I got a new card a couple of weeks ago and I activated it last week. I then got a text asking me to activate the card I'd just activated!
