Hi,
Just logged on to Manage my booking for my flight to vegas on Friday. Noticed it says Flight time change (for VS44) due to schedule changes, please acknowledge this. However the flight time hasn't changed at all and the seat map option to view the seats has gone?? ?|

Anyone else got this message for other flights?
Thanks :)

looks like an aircraft change rather than a time change (yet another area where VS could improve its communications).

Could be they are in process of reallocating seats so check again later.

(BTW the 44 is a Vegas to LGW flight. Do you mean the 43?)

Don't know if its related, but there are NO seats showing as available to pre-select for my LAS flight on Thursday, and haven't been for some weeks.

All that's showing upstairs and downstairs in PE are our 2 PE seats downstairs - not a single other seat is showing at all as pre-selectable, and hasn't for several weeks.

Maybe somebody with some inside knowledge knows if there is anything going on ;) ?

Hi - I was the same (but going the opposite way on Monday)

Apparently - according to the call centre, it is more than likely due to a change of plane so a different config, so my previously 'requested' seat went! It's a shame that different config isn't going to equal different type of plane...

No insider knowledge required.

It is because the 60% limit has been reached. VS only allows 60% of seats to be pre requested before putting a block on it. Most of the remainder are opened up at OLCI. It enables VS some flexibility to seat families and groups together.

Experience suggests that checking a few hours before OLCI is opened is worth doing as some appear to be opened up then with the balance at OLCI.

I'm in the same boat, (or should that be aircraft?) :D

Since January I had pre - 'requested' a row of three PE seats for my family, practically having a pick of the seats in PE when I booked.

On Monday, a notice of flight time change was on my booking to MCO next week. There was no time change but I had to tick the box to agree to it before I could further use my booking page. After I did that, the seat map disappeared and is now currently unavailable. I rang reservations to be told that there was no longer a row 25 on the A330 for my flight :0 .
(Slightly worrying that they can just remove a row of seats and wouldn't mind but I hadn't selected row 25 :o) ).

The guy on the phone told me the flight time was the same and so was the aircraft, so my question was, why am I getting no seats assigned when I had since January requested a row of 3 together? I was told I have a 2 together and then a single seat 2 rows away! v(

I understand and appreciate that seats are only requested.
I understand and appreciate that seats can be changed for operational reasons at any time.

What I can't understand or appreciate is being told a row of seats have been removed (?), they can't seat me altogether and hey ho, you will have to check in at the airport!

If they are to continue just moving you willy nilly, why offer the service of 'requesting' your seats? I'm not opposed to having to sit next to a total stranger for 9 1/2 hours (and I'm sure my mini monster would be quite happy not to have me around lol ), but to be honest I would rather not have to!

This happens on a regular basis, on 1 of my bookings I was asked to accept the time change 3 times - each time there was no time change and no aircraft seating plan change - however, my seats were moved.

My advice - check your bookings are frequently as you can. If possible, daily. That way, if your seats are kicked out, you can generally simply re-select your original seats.

It seems to be the MCO route that is most affected.

Hi Guys and Gals,

First time poster, be gentle :P

We have 8 of us booked on a trip to MCO for two weeks on Monday on VS15. I've been checking the 'Manage My Booking' section of the website over the past few weeks on a regular basis (I wasn't doing it just for the countdown, honest! :| ).

Yesterday, we got the dreaded message mentioned above. No way to override the message online, so phoned through to get it unlocked. Advised as others were that no time changes made, all still OK.

They couldn't confirm our seat request, but the person on the phone advised us that if our requested seats didn't materialise on OCLI, to go to the desk and have them changed. She said she would put notes on our booking to this effect ?|

This sounds like it makes a mockery of the request system. What are the chances that they will actually change the seats to what we've requested? We are flying in Y (boo! but for 8 of us, it's probably for the best :D ) and had chosen 26A-C, 27A-C and 28A + B.

I feel sorry for everyone else in the same situation. We have several nervous flyers, so wanted to sit in a block to make sure all was well and give those who wanted them, window seats.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

All the best,

Chris
