Hi there, sorry if this has already been posted but i've just noticed the Cancun flights starting next June are bookable now, for Saturdays and Tuesdays :)

Not the best departure times I have ever seen. In my opinion they are too late arriving into CUN and not great into LGW either.
Having said that, good to see a new route on the books. I am sure it will prove popular.

For the length of the flight that departure time is way too late, presumably this is a late incoming flight something like 9:30 from MCO or the like.

Most flights to CUN around the UK depart from 09:00 - 11:00 and no later so why would you choose VS over say BA or even TOM/TCX if you want to be there at a good time.

Not a big fan of the late departure either, by the time you've got through the airport, transfered to the resort it'll be 19:00 at least before you're able to start settling in.

Would thinks its because the Jamaica/Cuba flights now have later departure/arrival times than they did ooriginally. Remember the time the MBJ & HAV flights left the UK early morning, they seem like late morning/lunchtime departures now. :)

I would agree with that, it take 45 min to an hour to get from CUN to the hotels, more if your heading to Isla or Cozumel, eat and sleep after that flight would be welcome.

I would hope that the flight time would be a bit shorter too most days so maybe around a 16:50 arrival wouldnt be too bad.

These flight times are fine for Cancun, as others have mentioned the early evening arrival is ideal. Arriving at 13:30-14:00 like some airlines (TOM/TCX/BA) is inhumane trying to deal with the jetlag.
Having to do it myself at least 10 times a year I would welcome these flight arrival/departure times.

I never have a problem with jet lag when travelling east to west. It's the other direction that kills me.

Regarding the arrival time into CUN, you have to remember that not everyone will be staying in Cancun. Some will need to travel south to Cozumel or Playa del Carmen. For them, it will be a very long day.

I did a dummy booking for flights (Tues and Sats) on the VS site with no problems at all.

THe VH site does ask you to phone though because it is 'improving' its website.
