If you do a dummy booking and click on the flight number (it will be highlighted in red) that will tell you currently planned plane to operate that route.

Any chance of anyone checking VS15 (B744)on 5/11 and VS16 (B744) on 12/11 for load please?

I cannot prebook my PE seat on VS16 so I surmise that everything released for that flight have already been taken and there are very few left on th outbound.

Be interested to know how full they are.

Thanks.

Cheers guys.

Definitely a 744 going there (and probably coming back).

Was just wondering if someone could check the current load because there are very few seats available for selection - 1 upstairs and 4 downstairs in PE and VS15 and nothing on VS16 for the return leg.

Seems like it might be fairly full both ways.

There really isn't much point in doing a load check for flights more than 2 months in advance, even for the MCO ones that are often booked months in advance.

One of the reasons why you see most of PE upstairs greyed out is that these are allocated to VH for pre-booking. If these haven't been taken then they are released into the general pool at some point about 72hours before the flight's scheduled departure so it does well to keep checking

I agree with honey lamb that these are not going to be very useful. But here you are nonetheless... remember that they do not necessarily tell you the "load" at all, they just give you an idea of how many more tickets VS are willing to sell in given classes at the moment...

Thanks for the info. I know it is still a long time but it does give quite a good indication of how full the flight will be.

Thanks again.

A load check won't be much help.

VS only allows 60% of seats to be pre selected after which the seat map automaticaly greys out and no one can either pre select or change a selection. the VS system does this as soon as 60%+1 has been reached. The remaining seats will only be released for selection at OLCI - but experience shows this sometimes happens approx 3 - 4 hours before hand.

If there are seats availabe for pre selection and you are happy with them select them now. It won't stop you changing them at OLCI if something 'better' becomes available.

And the load check only states the number of tickets left below 9. If it says '9' it means 9 or more - that could mean 10 or 30 so not a good indication of how full a flight is at all so far out of your date of travel. An 'empty' flight today could be 'full' tomorrow depending on bookings !

Thanks Tontybear.

That is really informative. Looking good so far but, as you say, early days and I am sure it will soon fill up.

The return flight, though, is showing just about completely sold out already.

Guess I will be on line from about 28 hours before departure looking for those good seats.

From what I hear, the door seats in PE are only released for airport check-in.

All good fun.

Cheers
