Just booked a flight for my parents from Edinburgh down to Cardiff to visit friends.

Flybe now is the only airline that flys direct from Edinburgh into Cardiff after bmi baby pulled there service.

The gits took £15 for using a maestro card :0

We pay a merchants fee of around 7p for a maestro / switch transaction - what a ripoff!!!! v(

David - agree, that really is a rip off.

Have we missed something? Are Flybe part of Easyjet or Ryanair!

I'd like to see justification for the £15 charge.

Not sure how they got £15 the website seems to suggest it is £5.50 debit and £6.50 each way for credit cards, which is bad enough v( . Electron is free.

Jackie, your right ! it's actually worse than I thought :0

"Transaction fee from Flybe.com
Per person per one way journey £4.50 (Minimum fee £5.50)

Credit card supplement Flybe per one way journey 1.00 (Flybe minimum fee £1.00)"

So they have actually charged me £18 - £4.50 per person per sector for a transaction that costs around 10p

That is nothing short of daylight robbery !

My parents use FlyBe for Cardiff - Glasgow about twice a month... They now have a bank account with the Halifax as they're one of the few that offers a Visa Electron.
