Well Firstly can I say after 4 days in New York and 8 days in the Bahamas celebrating our 10th anniversary it was time to come home via New York with Jet Blue. The day started positive ^) as I did OLCI for both flights and also very lucky that I had booked VS10 and not VS046 due to below

We arrived at the airport only to discover our 11.25am flight was delayed until 15:30 with Jet Blue n( and it was only 09:30( damn could have been by the pool for another few hours). Turned out the plane was late into New York and also meant lost shopping time for Mrs F in New York airport v( . Jet Blue did give us a lunch voucher of $15 which was used to the full.

I also realised I promised Downhillski a pass into the New York clubhouse and I was going to be late but never realised how late. I phoned Virgin member line and hoped they could help by phoning the clubhouse for me and allow Downhillski in to wait for me(although I half expected the letter of the law to be read out) which they did but he did say he would phone for me. y)

I SMS Downhillski to let him know and to try at the gate and if you have read his report he got in for 2.5 hours (Hurrah for the NY clubhouse) oo) . Well Jet Blue finally arrived at 19.10 into JFK to receive a SMS from Downhillski to say he was allowed in and thanked me for my help(good deed done). I checked in and as I made my way to the clubhouse for a well deserved Mohito Mrs F went for her now shortened 2.5 hours shop.

This was the first time using the clubhouse and I tucked into the burger and the peach dessert and lovely it was too. I also added a thank you in the comments book for their help with Michael.

Boarding was painless G-VYOU (Emmeline Heaney) was our chariot home and soon settled into 8A . It’s the first time I have taken such a late flight and I have to admit it was really nice. Not sure on the runway but we were told it was a 45min taxi which during this time the flight crew took orders for our meals and breakfast. A smooth take off and lovely views of Manhatten and VPort was soon up and running.

The attendants were very slick and the FSM was very visable as we had a full compliment in Upper. ^) The beef was to die for (melt in your mouth) or was it just the Mohitos kicking in. All cleared away very quickly and the cabin soon settled into quiet mode.

I woke just before breakfast was being served, the smell of bacon just gets the senses going. After breakfast again the crew were very busy helping everyone prepare for landing and we arrived ahead of time. A quick exit through customs and bags and headed for revials as we had a few hours to spare before our flight to Manchester.

This was also our first time using revials and whilst Mrs F tried to grab a few more Zsss which she managed to prof a blanket and pillow from the staff I went for a treatment which was a very nice shave.

Well sorry for the ramblings but overall Virgin again No 1 for me great crew and very friendly to talk to :D , Jet Blue slipping away (redeemed themselves a little when we got a $50 each travel voucher by email).

Roll on November for Cuba Trip :D
