Looking at my booking reference, I see that I can upgrade my flight in Economy to Premium Economy for £44.

However, when I click "upgrade" it takes me to a page where the two options are to upgrade my outbound flight or both flights, with no option to upgrade just the inbound flight. Any ideas?

Fantastic upgrade price. Can you do both for the same price, if so I'd go for it.

As to the error, well it could be the VS IT gremlins at work again, in which case I'd have some doubts about the actually price too, until you can book it that is!

I expect it's only the outbound that is £44 and it may be a system glitch.

However, worth a quick call to VS to see if they can book both for you.

Cracking price, even if you only manage 1 way!

Here you can see the booking reference page.

It's also strange that it's £104 for inbound, £44 for outbound, yet £213 for the total trip. Also, I booked my flights before the Virgin sale that's going on right now. Ever since the sale, I've seen these lower upgrade prices.

Would be good to get that upgrade to PE on my overnight flight for £44.

I would say that is an EXCELLENT price. Even the £104 is brilliant in my opinion.

I'd call and get it booked, it is showing the option to upgrade just the inbound for £44 so should be possible.

I'd query the £213 total, however, once you upgrade one way, it tends to remove the option online to upgrade the other leg.

I experienced something similar a few months ago the price on the my booking page would not go through there was only an option to upgrade the whole trip. A quick call to flying club and they upgraded the flight for the price listed on the manage my booking section.

For £44 I would definitely give VS a call and upgrade yourself.

Done! Rang them up and upgraded the inbound flight for £44. y)

The rep was understandably surprised when I said I wanted to upgrade to PE for £44.
