So...'reserved' out seats on the VH website, and tempted to check in online evening before departure.

The problem being that I would like to upgrade to the extra leg room seats if possible. If we're already checked in, would we be able to switch (if they're available) when we get to the airport?

Also, what price is applicable for the 'upgrade'

Yes, you can still change to extra legroom seats after you have done OLCI.

The price for the extra leg room seats are £30pp, or exit row seats are £50/£75pp depending on your destination (it is linked to length of flight).

This is from the VS website re 'extras' Extra legs are down towards the bottom.

Says you can phone up to 48 hrs before travel, else at the airport. Not sure the phone option is available to a VH booking but can't see why not.

On another part of the VS website it says that you can only phone if you have booked via the VS website or the contact centre.

I have a VH booking for Hong Kong and have been advised, just this week, that I should contact VS regarding availabilty of exit row sets. My guess is, if there is a few quid to be made they won't care where it comes from :w

We always go with VH and have done OLCI and still brought exit seats when we got to the airport. Was going to try phoning when we went to ORD but never got round to it.

I spoke with VS yesterday who told me that because I had booked with VH, he wouldn't be able to book the seats for me. He then tried to find out how I could book them, and transferred me to VH.

Then got the usual "we're too busy, call back later" rubbish on VH phoneline. When I did eventually get to speak to someone, he told me the only upgrade they could do was to PE or Upper Class. Having explained to the guy who just wouldn't listen that I had just been told to call him to book the seat, and regardless of explaining that I was willing to spend an additional £200, he didn't want to know.

Round 3 this morning as I go back to VS and see if anyone there is interested in taking my money.
