Apologies if someone has already started a thread of this nature. I did do a search...

Anyway, I just assumed (I know, I know, never assume anything) that the planes to Orlando were all 747s, I've just checked my booking for next year and it's the A330-300. I've been selling the idea of PE to the other half on the basis that it's the bubble.

I have a few questions. Is the plane likely to change before Feb next year? If so I guess seat requests will change will they?

Failing that, now that a few more people have used these planes, with the exception of the toilet issue, is PE still a good product? And, any seat recommendations?

Any responses would be gratefully received.

G :)

Certain flights to MCO are operated by the new A330 and some by the existing 747's, so it just depends which flight you booked. It is unlikely that it will change.

If you do a trip report search you will find many reports on the new A330, including some by me comparing the PE cabins on both a/c (have a look at the VS75/76 trip reports as that is always operated by the A330 now). The have the new purple leather PE seats and of course the fantastic new JAM IFE system.

Seat wise, row 18 is by far an away the best option, but that is only available for allocation on the day at the airport, otherwise they are all pretty much the same tbh.

Thanks,
Neil

I did do a search, and I read some of the trip reports. Tbh there doesn't seem to be a massive amount being written, unless of course I'm searching wrong. Apologies if this is going over old ground.

Didn't see your report, but read the second. So, essentially, what I can glean from this is the 747 is better :(

Everyone has different opinions and reasons for them, and I go back to what I always say, we have been spoilt with PE in the bubble and anything else is just not going to be the same. The space and exclusive feeling it offers just can't be beat, but the seats are a lot newer and the IFE is great on the A330.
