Hi

We are off to ORD on Friday 2nd on VS039 in PE.
Just wondering if there is anyway to keep an Ipod touch charged while onboard ?
I'm sure toddler L2H will be kept entertained by the onboard IFE but would be good to have a backup just in case !

Thanks
L2H

You can buy chargers that will supply a laptop and have a USB charger as well, I have one - I think a Kensington model and I know I bought it at Dixons in T3.

Don't expect that you will be supplied with cables / chargers etc. on board, plan before you fly.

Oh, and ORD gets the A343s so the IFE is likely the old Odyssey system, you may need that PD!

Thanks both, will go prepared for the worst and hope for the best :-)
Between us we have iPhone, iTouch and iPad so we should be OK if all else fails, not to mention crayons, puzzles, looking out of window, snacks, a walk up and down the cabin..... 9 hours ? No problem !

You can buy "Cigarette socket" to emPower adapters that allow you to use a iPod/Pad car charger for around £5 on eBay.

I have just bought one for a flight to SYD as I was reluctant to buy a proper converter for 1 flight (I normally fly BA who have standard output). Although I have yet to test it out technically it should work as emPower outputs around 15v DV and a car output fluctuates from 10v to 16v.

I would be interested to know if anyone has tried it before?

Hope this helps and enjoy your flight!!

Hi there Virgin still have ipod/iphone adapters for use with inseat power onboard free of charge. Its only the laptop leads which we no longer offer. Just ask the crew for an ipod charger, it comes in a red gaming pack think it also works with nintendo DS, but def with the ipods/iphones. Some crew dont know that we still offer this so just say it comes in the red pack from our IFE cart if they are unsure! Hope this helps. Enjoy your flight
