Very much agree -- was once allocated 37E, I think it was, a middle seat on the back row of the 747 PE cabin for a journey back from SFO alone... nightmare.

I was upgraded for free in June on the EWR-LHR route (VS002) I was really looking forward to the experiance especially as it was a night flight and flying this route tens of times before I have never managed to sleep in economy! The pre-flight frink was a nice touch but I found the food exactly the same as economy just served in china dishes, being a much smaller cabin the service was obviously much quicker than economy and the lights dimmed a good hour before economy. The seat next to me was empty so I was looking foreward to a being able to stretch right out and take advantage of having 2 seats to myself.....until I realised you cannot move the armrest between the seats, in economy a few times I have been fortunate to have 2 empty seats next to me and once I have lifted the armrests I have made a bed for myself and slept most of the flight!

On a shortish flight (average 6hrs 40mins EWR-LHR) I really would not spend £200-250 or spend miles on the PE cabin
