I keep reading on here that most people here are great at hunting for lower fares. I was just wondering what websites you guys use? I've checked the usual expedia and orbitz, but I'm sure you all know a lot more...

Try the following :

netflights.com

lastminute.com

opodo.co.uk

That said my last two Premium Econonmy flights have come direct from the Virgin Atlantic Web Site whose prices have been competitive to the so called "Cheap Sites".

And where the Virgin Atlantic site scores against the others of course is when you've got Flying Club miles to use.

I used Dialaflight.com for our UC flights. I agree with other comments here ref virgin website being good value but Daf same price as Virgin Website but deposit and pay 8 weeks before was available.
Call them rather than taking flight prices off their website.

Just wanted to clarify what a said about the Virgin Atlantic site so that it made sense !

Once you've flown VS you'll have FC miles available which you can use for discounts your next flight with a number of options. This is where the VA site comes into its own.

An example of this would be Orlando this November. Expedia quote around £850 for Premium Economy against VA site at £611 using 7, 500 FC Miles on a Miles Plus Money option.

I'm guessing that's how alot of people on here get such great deals :D

Mike,
On occasion I have found lower fares on Expedia for virtually all carriers, VS included. Assume this may have something to do with pre-sold allocations, but not 100% certain why. One of our smarter folks here will know the reason.

Another interesting site is http://www.hotwire.com for quick comparison ("Y" only).
