We went to the PE bag drop line as we had already checked in the previous day (Seq 19,20,21!) but were called over to UC checkin. We were issued with boarding passes and our stroller was taken by a nice man with a trolley just behind checkin as we didn't need to take it as far as the gate.
Security was not busy, and the family lane(great idea) was nearly empty so we were though in minutes and headed for breakfast at Chez Gerard.
Very disappointing for our 3.5 year old son that there are no views of the runways from T3 :-(
After an hour or so shopping etc we headed for the gate. Boarding was very quick as there were only 130 pax on the flight. PE was probably half empty.
The flight itself was excellent. Cabin crew very attentive, food was ok. Our son enjoyed his childrens meal of pasta bolognese and cheese. His dad ate the leftovers after finishing off his own chilli con carne (obviously went down well!) I had the chicken which was also nice.
IFE was OK, not vport but it was working and I managed to watch a film and some of the comedy channel.
Later we were given an ice cream and then a sandwich just before landing.
Found the new PE seats very comfy. The adjustable head rest is great

Only negative comments are that we had to use the toilets in EC, but as the flight was not full I didn't have to wait long.
Mentioned to one of the crew that it was my husbands 40th and they brought over 2 glasses of champage and some chocolates for our son, which was nice. They also made an announcement when we had landed to wish him a happy birthday. He was so embarassed

So all in all a great flight. Will TR the return flight and Chicago itself when I have more time.
Thanks
